Amore per i libri
For the Love of Books
Books are not only to be read — they are to be seen, held, and admired. This space gathers striking book photography, historic libraries, cover art, and literary imagery from around the world.
A 17th‑Century Portable Library
Among the treasures featured here is a miniature travelling library commissioned by the English MP William Hakewill around 1617. Designed as a wooden case resembling a large folio, it held around forty small volumes — a personal, portable collection for a gentleman on the move.
Book Art by Thomas Allen
Thomas Allen transforms old paperbacks and hardcovers into playful dioramas. Cutting around figures on vintage covers, he creates scenes where characters step out of their stories — a witty, tactile homage to the physical book.
The World's Most Beautiful Bookstores
From the grand, frescoed halls of historic European libraries to cosy independent shops tucked down narrow streets, this gallery celebrates bookshops and reading rooms that are works of art in themselves.
Street Art Inspired by Books
Literature spills off the page and onto city walls. Murals, stencils, and installations around the world pay tribute to beloved stories and authors — proof that books belong as much to the street as to the shelf.
